Alli and two of her closest friends: Skylar and Abby(left to right), all showing off their girl scout sign.
There were activities galore to keep us busy. Above, Alli is screen printing a shirt for Mom to match her own (the one she is wearing in most of the photos).
Cool Lego Robotics program from Georgia Tech...
our Alli made an "Alli"gator out of legos.
Duct Tape crafts... apparently a very popular trend in craft activities for girls these days.
But the highlight of the weekend was the horses. The girl scout camp boards 30 horses free of charge, in exchange the horses are used to teach equestrian and riding classes for the girls.
Alli got to groom a horse and then ride it around a paddock.
They let the Moms lead the horse, which I thought was really cool. And Alli was excited to be riding on a horse larger than a Shetland Pony (which is all that we usually find at fairgrounds).
The girls showing off their handmade Camp Meriwether screen printed shirts, first to Sparkles the fairy (above) then a photo pose for us Moms (below).
All in all our goofy girl scout had a great girls-only camping weekend, the first of many I am sure.
