Summer Summary

Summer has flown by way too quickly for us, I am trying to get caught up and post all of our pictures... in the meantime here is a synopsis of our travels:

Beach trip in May, and my family took me to check out another Georgia lighthouse on St Simon's Island.

Tyler was much braver atop the 100 ft lighthouse this year, and Alli was as fearless as ever.

I love the Georgia coast for the abundant drapes of moss in the oak trees... it offers beautiful scenery and natural beaches.

Dolphin tour while on the coast - pretty cool.  We saw 3 different families of dolphins frolicking in their natural habitats.

Couldn't pass up the numerous photo ops that a sunset on the beach at low tide provided... we really enjoyed St Simon Island!

Best Friends?  At least on vacation, they are...

Jay's sailboat finally received her nametag... we got to enjoy a couple of weekends camping and sailing on Lake Lanier between our travels.

Started my own running crew this year with the help of my awesome niece, Zoe.
Tyler and Alli were both part of the top 10 finishers in the kids' 1 mile fun run,
while Zoe and I were still catching our breath from our 5K attempt.

Celebrated July 4th with a trip to New Orleans.

The kids always love hanging out with cousins.

The kids' first (but not last) trip to Audubon Zoo!

And we found a new favorite Louisiana hang-out - Uncle Jason's property in Amite, complete with 4 wheelers and a shooting range - things not seen very often for our city kids.

It's always great to hang out with our 'Wise' family :)

An extra treat when Louisiana family joined us in Atlanta (for 2 years in a row) - had fun at Medieval Times again and Lake Lanier.

And here we are on a Mommy and Daddy date night...

2 VERY proud parents who had a fun summer but are ready for school schedules to get started again!

School starts for us Wednesday - so stay tuned for our back to school pics.

Love to you all!
